"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38,39).

Welcome to FORGIVEN CHRISTIANS, a Celtic Christian website dedicated to those of us who have exhausted ourselves trying to "earn" our way into heaven, and now embrace the truth of Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
Feel free to rest in the knowledge that if you've given your life to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and repented of your sins, you can fully trust Him to lead you home. Don't try to grab the steering wheel - He know's how to get you there.
Please send me a quick note at pastorjoe@forgivenchristians.org if you are a new or returning visitor. I'd love to hear from you and find out how I may serve you.
In Christ,
Joe
A Biblical Celtic Christian website???
If you search for "Celtic Christian" on the web, you'd think it would have to be Biblical, yet I've found sites ranging from a mixture of Druidic and Christian teaching to more popular "New Age" Celtic Churches. The truth is true Celtic Christianity has its roots deeply embedded in the Bible. In fact, the early Celtic monks preserved the Holy Scriptures during much political unrest on the European continent.
Joe Schooler created this site out of a deep respect for the traditional Celtic Christian Church and the heroes of the faith who have helped develop its charism.
Celtic Christianity provides a refuge for those of us struggling to let go of our past and fully embrace the truth that we are secure in the embrace of the Holy Trinity.
Joe is completely dedicated to the Holy Scriptures. "Ignorance of Sripture is ignorance of Christ" (St. Jerome). To live in communion with Christ requires knowing Him through reading - chewing on - the truth of the Bible. The focus here is on living joyfully in the Word of God.
We recognize the Bible as the inspired Word of God compiled by the early Church Fathers under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and view Holy Scripture as the foundation of the Christian faith.
When we speak of the Christian faith, we are certain it is the only belief system with which salvation can be assured. In John 14:6, Jesus states, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me" and the Apostle Peter affirms in Acts 4:12, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name in heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Throughout the Bible, it is clear that Jesus alone is the source of our salvation.
We pray the grace and mercy of God may be extended to those outside of the Christian faith and that they will be welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven; we see within the Scriptures Jesus desire to bring all people unto Himself. Yet, we acknowledge throughout the Bible that God will have no other gods before Him, and He is jealously in love with His children. To Him alone belongs our full devotion and heart's desire. In Jesus Christ alone can we be assured of our salvation.
We offer devotionals, Scripture commentary, prayer support, and encouragement in times of need.
You are welcome to contact Joe at anytime. Rather than seeking financial support, he has been blessed with a secular job which allows him to finance this ministry. He will respond to you as soon as possible.
"The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." Zeph. 3:17
Grasping the power and reality of the above verse can transform us into living confident, worship-filled lives.
This website was developed to encourage us to know and live with the joy of the Lord in our hearts.
I believe fully the words of Jesus - "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world." John 16:33.
The truth of the Bible reveals the compassion of Christ. We live in a fallen world, yet God is Sovereign. As Biblical Celtic Christians, we find God revealing His magnificence in all His creation. We trust in the desire of God to be in an intimate loving relationship with His children; we believe in the the redeeming power of Jesus' sacrificial death and resurrection, and rely on the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to let us see with the eyes of God dignity in the beggar and the millionaire, the primrose and the mighty oak.
